Vietnam Airlines Check-In and Boarding

Passengers can check-in in a number of ways on Vietnam Airlines flights. The methods of check-in are:

• Web check-in

• Airport Counter check-in

• Kiosk check-in

Opening and Closing Times of Check-in

Exception: Check-in counters close 60 minutes before scheduled departure time of flights at Charles De Gaulle, Frankfurt International and London Heathrow.

Vietnam Web Check in

Online check-in facility is available from certain airports and for Vietnam Airlines operated flights.

Please note that even after completing the online check-in, the passengers are required to be present at the web check-in counters at airports at least 15 minutes before the closing time of check-in counters. This is a requirement for verification of e-boarding pass received in email or mobile device, and other travel documents.

Web Check-in Eligibility

Web check in also not eligible for certain passengers. These passengers are those who:

1. Need Special Assistance

2. Have requested for special services, except special meals

3. Have to travel with Infants

4. Travel on flights operated by others

5. Codeshare flights operated by other airlines

6. Unaccompanied Minors

7. Group of more than 9 passengers

Steps to Follow for Online Check-in

1. Vietnam Airlines will either send you a link on your email ID 24 hours before scheduled departure of flight for online check-in purposes.

2. Alternatively, if email ID has not been provided, then following steps can complete the online check-in process:

• Step 1: Enter last name, departure airport, and Reservation code/ Frequent Flyer number or E-ticket number.

• Step 2: Select your flight.

• Step 3: Enter passport information, wherever  needed.

• Step 4: Select seat

• Step 5: Select method to receive e-Boarding Pass.

Vietnam Airlines Airport Check-in

It is recommended to arrive at airport for check-in at least 60 minutes before flight departure time in case of domestic flights and 120 minutes before in case of international flights.

Boarding gate closes 15 minutes before scheduled departure time of flight.

Vietnam Airlines Kiosk Check-in

Kiosk check-in is available only at select airports. You must know at which locations is this available.

Steps to follow for Kiosk Check-in

Step 1: Select either Vietnamese or English language.

Step 2: Provide either booking reference number or e-Ticket number or Frequent Flyer ID (if declare when booking).

Step 3: Choose passenger (if travel in group) and select flight.

Step 4: Print boarding pass.
