Check in Baggage Allowance

UTair allows free check in baggage depending on service class booked.

Economy Class- 1 bag of 23 kg

Economy Comfort Class- 2 bags of 23 kg each

Business Class- 2 bags of 23 kg each

Sum of dimensions of each baggage shall not be more than 203 cm.

Infants allowed 1 check in bag of 10 kg of dimensions 55х40х20 cm. In case of tickets booked on Light fare which does not allow check in baggage for free, this can be taken in cabin as well.

STATUS (frequent flyer program) members -Bronze, Silver, Gold- allowed one additional piece to original baggage allowance.

Carry on baggage allowance

Economy Class- 1 piece up to 10 kg

Economy Comfort Class- 2 pieces up to 10 kg each

Business Class- 2 pieces up to 10 kg each

Infants allowed 1 carry on baggage of up to 10 kg free. They are allowed a stroller up to the point of boarding and then it is taken in hold. It has to be fully collapsible.

Dimensions of the carry on baggage shall not exceed 55х40х20 cm

Liquids more than 100 ml in volume are not allowed, except for medicines, baby food and those bought in duty-free shops.

Besides this hand baggage allowance, you can also carry certain personal items. These are given here.

- handbag or brief case;

- cane;

- bunch of flowers;

- outerwear;

- document folder;

- umbrella;

- prints for reading during the flight;

- video camera;

- portable computer;

- suit in a holdall;

- baby food for the flight;

- carry-cot/folding staller when traveling with a child (the folding staller may be used as far as the aircraft ramp, after that it is handed over to be carried in the cargo/baggage hold);

- crutches, folding wheelchair with dimensions providing that it is stowed safely in the overhead bin or under the seat in front (for passengers with reduced mobility).

Light Fare Tickets: Passengers travelling on Light fare tickets are allowed to carry 1 hand baggage of up to 10 kg. Carriage of sports equipments is not free under this fare category.

If there is a need to take a check in bag, the charge for the same is Rouble 2000 for a 10 kg weight with dimensions not exceeding 203 cm.

No special allowances for UTair frequent flyer program (STATUS) members.

Excess Baggage Charges

Charges for carrying more weight, size and pieces of baggage are based on whether the flights are domestic or international. Further, these vary depending on whether the flights are direct or transfer flights.

For domestic flights of Russia-

For international airlines (except flights to/from Central Asia and Far East)-

For Flights to/from Central Asia and Far East, the charges for excess baggage are further based on the certain cities to/from which these flights operate. These are given below:

Flights from/to Anadyr and Vladivostok, Sanya-

Flights to/from Dushanbe, Bukhara, Samarkand, Tashkent, Fergana-

Transportation of weight more than 50 kg in a check in bag would require prior consent and is either charged at standard full weight or taken as cargo shipment.

Baggage Regulations Pertaining to Carriage of Certain Special Items:

• Sporting Equipment

Skis and snowboards along with their associated gear can be carried free of charge in addition to the permitted check in baggage allowance. But, only associate gear will not be taken as free.

Bicycles are allowed in check in baggage within the permitted allowance limits of weight and size of package shall not be more than 203 cms.

• Animals and Birds

For carrying birds and animals in flights of UTair, the airline needs to be informed in advance. Further, it is required that the regulations relating to carriage of such animals and birds in the destinations country shall be checked ahead of travel.

Animal up to 10 kg weight (including container weight) can be taken free in cabin, but more than 10 kg has to be placed in a container. Container has to have air ventilation and a moisture absorption mat at the bottom. Bird cages shall not allow light inside.

Container to be carried inside cabin shall not be more than 115 cm in linear dimensions whereas that being carried in check in baggage shall not be more than 203 cm in linear dimensions.

Carriage of animals and birds in flight requires production of complete documentation relating to the health of animals. Only documents issued by public veterinary clinics are accepted for this purpose.

You are requested to arrive 2 hrs before scheduled departure of time if you are bringing animals or birds. You will also have to pass through the veterinary control

• Arms and Ammunitions

Passengers willing to carry arms and ammunition are required to coordinate their plans with the airline company before booking tickets.

They are required to disclose full name, number and date of flight, amount of arms and ammunition and the weight of cartridges.

A passenger can bring his own arms up to 5 pieces and 1000 cartridges in a flight. Passenger is required to check-in 90 minutes before flight departure time.
