Wheelchair Assistance

Wheelchair assistance is available at all airports where jetBlue operates flights. This service shall be added at the time of online ticket booking or shall be asked for while speaking to customer service representative of the airline. The service includes an assistant who would push the chair.

It is important to inform about this need well in advance of travel and add to the request so that all proper arrangements can be done for comfortable boarding.

Passengers can even bring their own manual or motorized wheelchair. A form is required to be filled.

Pregnant Women

The only requirement of the airline policy for expectant mothers is that those are not allowed to travel who are expecting deliver within 7 days. However, if treating doctor certifies that the passenger is fit to fly and this certificate is not issued later than 2 days from date of travel, airline will allow pregnant woman to fly.

Visually Impaired

jetBlue extends all help to its visually impaired passengers. The text readers are compatible with the mobile website of the airline. There is a need to mention about this service at the time of making reservations. Assistance is provided with carry-on items, getting to restrooms, opening snacks and others.

Hearing Impaired

Hearing impaired can use the TDD/TTY line 711 for the deaf. Using this service, passengers can type in their request over a telephone line.

Infants

A lap infant is allowed 1 diaper bag, 1 stroller and 1 car seat. Only 1 lap infant is assigned per row of seat and they are not seated in emergency exit rows. FAA approved car seats and child restraint systems have to be carried in flight.

Unaccompanied Minors

jetBlue considers children of age 5-14 years who are travelling alone as unaccompanied minors. Children should have reached 5th birthday but not have reached 14th birthday.

No more than 3 UNMR children are accepted for travel on one flight. Fee applicable is USD 100 per person per way.

The UNMR form available online shall be filled before travel. The name of the person dropping off and picking up the child shall be filled in accordance with the name on the valid ID proof. Photo ID is a mandatory requirement.

Further UNMR service is available only on non-stop flights. They will be seated at the back of airplane.

Depending on which destination is the UNMR travelling, there are different documentation requirements.

Letter of authorization from parent or legal guardian is required for all children below 14 years of age while travelling in USA.

Pets Travel- JetPaws Service

There is a need to carry all vaccination and other documents of pets on jetBlue flights. The license and the ID tags must also be carried along. Pets can be carried in a container of dimensions 17"L x 12.5"W x 8.5"H and of max weight 20 pounds. It is considered to be one carry-on bag.

A pet fee of $100 each way is levied. The pets can be booked online or by calling the customer service of the airline.

Pets are not accepted for certain destinations, such as Jamaica, St Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, Cayman Islands and Barabados.
