Pregnant Women

UTair would want pregnant women to have prior consultations with their doctors to ascertain their suitability for flight. The pregnant women are required to sign a guarantee liability note stating that the carrier will not bear any responsibility for any unfavourable circumstance that can arise if pregnant women has to fly. The onus of informing the airline about the health of the pregnant woman lies on the woman only.

Newborns of up to 7 days are not allowed to fly.

Infants and Unaccompanied Children

Carriage of one child under 2 years of age by an adult passenger and not occupying a seat would be free for domestic flights and there will be a 10% charge on international flights. Other children of less than 2 years age would be charged 75% of the fare and the passenger would also be free to book a separate seat for this fare.

Children in the age group of 5 to 12 years can be taken unaccompanied on the prior condition that there is a request from the parents, guardians and consent from carrier. The parents or legal guardians are also required to sign a declaration prior to the carriage of children. The flight has to be direct non-stop flight.

As per the law, for leaving the Russian Federation unaccompanied by an escort, the child shall have, besides a passport, a notary legalized consent of the parent or guardians for exiting the Russian Federation and the consent shall also state the term and the state that he will be staying at.

Disabled and Sick

If sick and disabled persons have to fly on UTair flights, then they are required to provide a medical statement by a doctor which confirms the ability of passenger to fly without any risk and that the person does not need special medical care during the flight.

The disabled persons are required to inform the airline at the time of ticket booking whether they will need the wheelchair assistance or not. If they wish to carry own wheelchairs, then its size, weight, type and battery type must be communicated at the time of ticket booking.

Wheelchairs with acid batteries

To be taken in check-in. These are carried in baggage compartments provided that the battery is disconnected and is packed in a container with absorbent material.Can be taken till boarding gate and from there these are taken in hold.

Wheelchairs with dry-charged batteries

To be taken in a baggage compartment provided the battery is disconnected and is secured to a wheelchair.  

Wheelchairs with gel batteries

Such wheelchairs can be carried without disconnection of batteries provided the battery clamp is isolated.  

Wheelchairs with lithium-ion batteries

Can be taken in cabin baggage batteries can be removed by user. It is also important that battery terminals must be protected against short circuit.

Wheelchairs with non-spillable storage batteries

Has to be taken in baggage compartment on condition that the battery is securely attached, its terminals are protected against short circuit, and electric circuits are isolated.  

Wheelchairs with spillable batteries

Allowed only in baggage compartment. Care has to be taken while loading and unloading it as it has to be done in verticle position only.
