Hawaiian Airlines Frequent Flyer Program

HawaiianMiles is the frequent flyer program of the airline. This is based on the miles flown and not on how much is spent on tickets. Miles can be earned not only on flying Hawaiian but in a number of other ways. These can be shared with family and friends. If you fall short of some of the Miles for redemption purposes, then the same can be bought as well.

Membership Levels

There are three membership levels for the frequent flyers-

1. Pualani Gold

2. Pualani Platinum

3. Premier Club

Anyone can become a HawaiianMiles member and there are no baseline conditions for the same.

You become a Pualani Gold Member by flying 30 segments or 20000 Miles in a year.

Pualani Platinum Membership is achieved by flying 60 segments or 40000 Miles in a year.

Premier Club membership can be had either by paying an annual fee of $299 or flying 40000 miles.

Earning the HawaiianMiles

On becoming a HawaiianMiles member, you stand a chance to  earn 50000 bonus miles when you avail Hawaiian Airlines Mastercard and spend a minimum of $3000 in first 90 days. Other benefits of this card are:

• No blackout dates,

• No foreign transaction fees when you buy anything in another country using this card

• $100 off on a companion ticket for round trip between Hawaii and North America,

• 5000 annual bonus miles after spending $10000 or more on purchases by the time of your account anniversary approaches, and

• Special perks such as round the clock concierge services, travel and more

These can be earned @ 1 Mile for 1 Mile flown. There is a mileage chart for Hawaiian flights which defines which flight route would earn how many miles. These charts can be accessed as:

Another way to find the Miles earned for travelling on a particular route is by using the Miles Finder plugin which is available at the Online Mall of the airline.

Earning with partners

Our partners for earning the miles are airline companies, hotels, car rental companies and shopping and dining partners.

Airline partners: China Airlines, Japan Airlines, jetBlue, Korean Air, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia.

The mileage accrual percentage is based on booking class ticket booked.

Hotel Partners: Alohilani Resort Waikiki beach, Caesars Entertainment, Castle Resorts & Hotels, Coast Hotels, Destination Residences Hawaii, Diamond Resorts International, Hilton Honors, World of Hyatt, IHG Rewards Club, Marriott Rewards, Maui Coast hotel, The New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel, Outrigger Hotels and Resorts, Pearl Hotel Waikiki, PointsHound, Price Resorts Hawaii, RocketMiles, Shell Vacations Club, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Tokyu Hotels, Turtle Bay Resort, Waikiki Hotels Resort and Wyndham Rewards.

Car Rental Partners: Avis, Budget and Payless are three major car rental partners to earn the miles with.

Online Shopping Partners: HawaiianMiles Marketplace, Foodland, Online Shopping, Shopping Mall Events, Specialty Partners

Miles can also be bought up to a maximum of 10000 HawaiianMiles with increments in multiples of 500 miles.

Redeeming HawaiianMiles

The miles earned can be redeemed in different ways- flights, car rentals, travel and online shopping.

Redemption on Flights

On flights, these can be redeemed for a minimum of 7500 miles. And, this redemption can be by way of either an upgrade or an award ticket.

The airline brings out two separate Award Charts which define the award miles required for different flight routes and cabin classes booked. One of these Award Charts is for the Hawaiian Airlines itself, and the other one is for the partner airlines.

The partner airlines for which the Award Chart is available is jetBlue, Korean Air, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia.
