Pregnant Women

Bangkok Airways allows carriage of expectant mothers on its flights. It does required pregnant women to take due doctoral consultation before flying, even though it might not need any documentary proof for certain weeks of pregnancy.

The details of the requirements from the airline alongside the number of weeks in pregnancy are given below:

Please note that the airline does not allow pregnant women to fly if the pregnancy is in last 4 weeks.

Unaccompanied Children and Infants

Infants are children of less than 2 years of age. All Bangkok Airways routes that are of more than 2 hours duration have 2 baby bassinets for infants in Economy and Business classes each. These are for infants who are not more than 14 kg in weight and 70 cm in height.

Children aged 6 to 12 years can be carried alone as unaccompanied minors. The airline provides a UNMR service for such passengers after a due process of documentation. The reservations for UNMR can not be done online and the reservation office has to be called at least 24 hours before the flight time to get confirmation of the ticket. Full adult fare ticket has to be bought for unaccompanied minor at the time of ticket booking.

The child can also be sent to the connecting flight if the connection is from the same terminal of the airport and the time is of less than 4 hours.

The procedure is simple. There is a need for the accompanying adult to fill a form. The identification of the person accompanying the child, address and phone number are required. Similar details of the person who is expected to take the child from the arrival airport are also required. The relationship between both the persons and the child shall be clear.

If the designated person is not able to come and take the child at the airport, then the child will be taken back to the origin airport and the adult who had come to leave the child would be contacted. The fare will have to be paid for by that person.

Disabled Passengers

Mobility disabled passengers who need a wheelchair shall inform the airline at least 24 hours before the flight departure time. If own wheelchair is to be carried, then the airline shall be informed at least 48 hours before the flight departure time. Following information about your wheelchair shall be provided to the airline:

• Type of mobility aid

• Dimension

• Weight

• Number of batteries and spare batteries

• Nature of battery and its power in WH.

• Important instructions to prevent its activation by accident.
