Check-in baggage allowance on Bangkok Airways depends on cabin class of travel. Its allowance is based on weight system.

Economy

20 kg

Premium Economy

30 kg

Blue Ribbon Class (Business Class)

40 kg

Infant

10 kg for all classes

Excess Baggage Charges (w.e.f 01 July, 2017)

If you are carrying more than the free allowance, there is a per excess kg charge to be paid.

For domestic flights within Thailand, charges are THB 90 per excess kg.

For international flights, the charges depend on zone of travel for international flights.

These zones of travel are:

Zone 1

Thailand

Zone 2

Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam

Zone 3

Hong Kong , South East Asia

Zone 4

Japan, China, India, Maldives

Zone 5

Other than above except US/CA

Based on these zones of travel are the following charges in USD:

No check-in bag shall be more than 32 kg in weight. If more, it needs to be repacked into another checkin bag.

Extra baggage can be purchased at least 4 hours before the flight departure time.

Additional Allowance for FlyerBonus Members

Additional 5 kg baggage for Premier and 20 kg for Premium members is allowed for free.

Cabin Baggage Allowance

Bangkok Airways allows 1 item of baggage to be carried on its planes per adult or child passenger (not infant).

The maximum weight and size of cabin baggage is given as under:

Hi we are flying from uk on the 20th Jan to Bangkok business class. We will be in Bangkok for a few days then transferring to Koh Samui which is economy class so obviously a baggage allowance difference. All we want to do is add 10kg each . We are having huge problems trying to sort this out no one is being very helpful and the london number we are trying is constantly engaged. Our flight booking Ref is Q5EDUW on 26th Jan,. Please can you advise how we can book extra allowance on line., as it’s cheaper than at the airport. Thank you Regards Linda

Please use this link https://www.thaiairways.com/en/before_you_fly/manage/my_booking.page to book the excess baggage. This can be done online. We are assuming that you have booked with Thai airways and that the Booking Ref No is provided by the airline.
