Turkish Airlines Check-In and Boarding

Some of the common ways in which passengers can check in into the Turkish Airlines flights are web, airport counter and kiosk and mobile check in.

Online Check In

This is available from 24 hours and up to 90 minutes before departure of flight. Passengers can select seats and check in maximum 8 of their companions. Through and return check in is also possible. For passengers who are carrying check in luggage, they are required to drop off their bags at at designated points or at the online check in desks. These online check in desks have a time of closure. These close 60 minutes before departure time of international flights and 45 minutes before departure of domestic flights. Airport Check In

Airport check in can be done either at the counter of the airline or by using the self service kiosk. Passengers are requested to approach check in counters of airports at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure of international flights and at least 1 hour before the scheduled departure of domestic flights. The latest time to obtain a boarding pass is 45 minutes for domestic flights and 60 minutes for international flights.

Self Check In

Self check in is possible by using the kiosk machines kept at the airports. This service is limited for use by those passengers who have e-tickets. This is available for all major domestic and international airports visited by Turkish Airlines. These include Istanbul, Antalya, Ankarak, Izmir, Dalaman, Bodrum, Adana, Trabzon, Samsun, Gaziantep, Konya and Kayseri in Turkey and Copenhagen, Cenevre, Stutgart, Frankfurt, Birmingham, Zurich, Amsterdam, Vienna, Nurnberg, Capetown, Johannesburg, Manchester, Athens, Chicago, Prague, Nice, Lisbon, Barcelona, Hong Kong, Madrid, Budapest, Brussels, Oslo and Stockholm.

Self check in is available from 12 hours till 45 minutes and 60 minutes for domestic and international flights respectively.

Boarding ends 15 minutes before the departure time of flights for all types of check in.
