Cathay Pacific Check-In and Boarding

You can check-in in the Cathay Pacific flights in 4 different ways- at airport check-in desk, airport self-service kiosks, online check in and mobile check in .

Online check in facility is to ensure convenience to passengers who are flying Cathay Pacific, Dragonair flights including their codeshare partner flights. However, this is not available for flights operated by other carriers. Another important requirement is that the valid travel documents shall remain valid for a minimum of 6 months from date of return. Frequent flyer members can use their membership number to check in online. Non-members can also check in online by providing either their booking reference number or e-ticket number. Boarding passes can be online by passenger on a A4 sheet of paper. Online check in begins 48 hours before flight departure and continues up to 90 minutes before flight departure. Those with a check in baggage are required to drop it at the drop-off box at least 50 minutes before departure of flight. Boarding gate will close 10 minutes before scheduled departure time of flight. In case, there is a change is a plan and there is a need to cancel the online check in then it must be done at least 60 minutes before time of departure of flight.

Mobile check in can be done at m.cathaypacific.com by all passengers except those requiring medical attention, unaccompanied minors, groups and those who have to make some additional payments at the airport during check in. Mobile boarding pass can be had on mobile device via SMS or email.

Kiosk check in is allowed at the airports of select cities. These can be operated by entering either Marco Polo Club card or Asia Miles Card, or by scanning passport or even by using booking reference number. This facility allows you to check in at least 48 hours before flight departure and print the boarding pass. Currently, the kiosks supports about 11 languages- Traditional Chinese, Simple Chinese, English, Russian, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Thai, Japanese and Korean.

I will be travelling to Malaysia from Denver, Colorado on 18th Feb, 2017. My exact itenary is Denver to Dallas to Hong Kong via American airlines. From hongkong to Malaysia I will travel by cathay pacific. My booking number is 3BAF5U. I wish to know whether I can checked through from Denver to Malaysia. I have only 1h 40 m in hong kong to go through immigration and collect my luggage and check in again which I am afraid may not be sufficient. please advice. I would be grateful for any suggestions on this. I purchased the ticket on expedia.
