Cabin Baggage Allowance

The cabin baggage allowance on Philippine Airline is limited to 1 carry on bag and any two personal items for each passenger. The carry on baggage shall not be more than 7 kg weight and 115 cm in sum of dimensions.

The personal items that can be taken in addition to free allowance carry on baggage are either of the following:

• a small handbag, purse or pocket book

• a wrap, blanket or over coat

• a small camera

• a pair of binoculars

• a laptop along with its case

• a reasonable amount of reading material

The disabled can further take their assistive devices in the cabin (that are permitted)

Check-in Baggage Allowance

The allowance for check in baggage depends on whether the flight is for domestic or inter-domestic or international.

Domestic Flights

For Philippines Airlines (PAL) or Philippines Airlines Express (PALex) operated flights within the Philippines, there are 6 fare choices in Economy Class and 3 fare choices in Business Class.

Following is the check in baggage allowance rule for the abovesaid flight routes:

The check in baggage allowance for Economy Supersaver and Economy Saver fare choices was reduced from 20 kg to 10 kg and 15 kg respectively for tickets issued after 16 July, 2018.

Excess Baggage Charge

Check in bag shall not be more than 32 kg in weight. Heavier single bag will not be accepted and will have to be repacked.

International Flights

Checking through of luggage would only apply if the entire journey is under a single ticket or conjunction. Otherwise, a check through fee (Excess Baggage Charge) of USD 5 or its equivalent in CAD currency) per kilo would be charged.

The Free Baggage Allowance (FBA) permitted is applicable only for the entire journey as mentioned in the ticket. For journeys consisting of separate tickets, the Free Baggage Allowance (FBA) mentioned on each ticket would apply.

Infant free baggage allowance is applicable for those infants who have paid a minimum of 10% of adult fare. This is given below:

For non-US, Guam and Canada Flights

10 kgs checked baggage plus a fully collapsible stroller or pushchair.

One piece of checked luggage with a weight of 7 kgs plus one fully collapsible child's stroller or pushchair.
