EVA Air Check-In and Boarding

EVA Air allows check-in in following ways:

1. Airport- Counter and Kiosk

2. Return Check-in

3. Online

EVA Air Airport Check-in

You would need a time period of about 1 hour to 3 hours to arrive at airport before the scheduled departure of time. This would depend on the departure airport. You need to carry all travel documents along with the ticket for checking in.

EVA Air Automated Check In

Automated check-in of EVA will complete the check-in of passenger 12 hours before the scheduled departure. The print of the boarding pass can be taken out by either visiting the website of EVA Air.

Automated check-in is not available for passengers with special needs (pets, unaccompanied children, infants, wheelchair-bound, etc), group bookings, unconfirmed reservations and non-electronic tickets.

This service is only available for EVA Air and UNI Air international flights where onward journey is operated by EVA Air or UNI Air.

Currently, it is not available for flights departing from Hong Kong, Osaka, London, Los Angeles, Tokyo(Narita), Bangkok and Amsterdam

EVA Air Kiosk Check-in

EVA Air calls its kiosks Hello Kitty. This kiosk is present at Taoyaun International Airport Terminal 2. These can be used to check-in for boarding the Hello Kitty jets. For checking in passengers are required to use their booking code, flight number or using the Infinity MileageLands card membership number.

Check-in Kiosks are available at:

• Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Terminal 2

• Taipei Songshan Airport,

• Amsterdam Airport,

• Los Angeles Airport,

• Taichung Airport,

• Kaohsiung Airport,

• Hongkong Airport,

• Kansai Airport

• London Heathrow Airport,

• Bangkok Airport,

• Tokyo Narita Airport.

Kiosks become operational by 5 AM in morning and can be used for up to 1 hour before flight departure time.

These kiosks can be used even when online check in has been done. These are used to input the number of check-in bags, print the bag tags and then proceed to Drop off counter to leave the baggage.

EVA Air Return Check-in

Return check-in is available for passengers boarding from Taipei (TPE), Kaohsiung (KHH), Taichung(RMQ), Macau (MFM) and Hong kong (HKG) if they have booked a return flight within 48 hours or the departure flight and are not carrying a check-in bag. They can check in for the return flight right from the time when they are checking-in for the outbound flight.

EVA Air Online Check In

The cut-off time for online check in to open for EVA Air flights is from 48 hours up to 1.5 hours before scheduled departure time of the flight.

Passengers with no check in bags and having a printed boarding pass shall arrive at the gate at least 30 minutes before departure.

Passengers with check-in bags shall arrive at least 1 hour before the scheduled departure time of flight.

Passengers travelling to or from Australia or United States are required to perform traditional check-in. They can not print their own boarding passes. Also, the credit card which has been used in paying for the tickets shall be had by the passenger at the airport at the time of check-in.

Online check-in is not available for infants, unaccompanied minors, with medical condition, group of 10 or more passengers, those with upgraded booking and charter or codeshare flights not operated by EVA Air/UNI Air.

Airlines having through check-in facility with EVA Air

EVA Air has through check-in facility with many other airlines of the world. The EVA Air website can not be used for check-in for flights operated by these airlines if they precede the EVA Air sector of journey.

EVA Air Mobile Check-in

Those who are looking to check-in using their mobiles shall first ascertain whether their mobile device support it or not. At present,  iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad with iOS 9.0 or later and Android with 5.0 or later devices can be used to check-in.

Mobile check-in opens 48 hours and up to 1.5 hours before scheduled departure of flights.

After completing the check-in passengers get the eboarding pass. It is available for EVA Air and UNI Air international flight ticketed passengers having confirmed bookings.

Following airports support the eboarding passes:

• Taipei (Taoyuan, Songshan Airport), Taichung, Kaohsiung

• Hong Kong

• Toronto, Vancouver

• Amsterdam, London, Vienna, Paris

• Osaka, Sendai, Sapporo, Tokyo (Narita, Haneda Airport), Fukuoka, Seoul (Incheon, Gimpo Airport)

• Bangkok, Cebu, Kuala Lumpur

Passengers with check-in bags shall drop baggage at least 60 minutes before scheduled departure time of flight.

Passengers who are not eligible to check-in online are also not eligible to check-in using mobiles.
