Hi dear. I want ask to u that my wife got thai airline ticket economy class from delhi international airport to bankok and then bankok to new Zealand. In the ticket showing there are total 30 kg allowed and plus 7 kg hand bag. But travel agent told me that you can carry total 47 kg luggage. Like 2 pieces 20 kg and 7 kg 1 hand bag. So can u plz tell what is the acctual weight she can carry on with her. Thank u

Admin Reply :

You need to check whether you have booked economy class or premium economy class ticket. Economy class is allowed 30 kg check in baggage whereas premium economy is allowed 40 kg in check in. Cabin allowance is 7 kg in both fare classes. If it is 40 kg check in baggage, then 2 check in bags have to be taken since one check in bag can not be more than 32 kg in weight.

Hi, I am travelling from Bangalore to Tokyo via Bangkok. I have 2 tickets (me and my wife). So, 60 KG is allowed for check in bags. Both will be calculated together ? I mean if one is 35kg and other is 25 kg, is it OK ? And Along with cabbin bag, can I carry laptop bag separately ? Thank you,

Admin Reply :

You are not allowed to take more than 32 kg in one check in bag, therefore, you can not take 35 kg in one check in bag.

Clubbing of checkin baggage as such is allowed for passengers travelling on same PNR.

We do not think this would be allowed in check in baggage. You might have to use the cargo route to transport it.

I've booked a zone 5 return Thai Airways flight with my wife from the UK to Thailand. We are flying economy class so each have a check-in baggage allowance of 30 Kg. My questions is, can we pool this allowance - for example checking in three bags each weighing 20 Kg?

Admin Reply :

Generally, airlines allow this clubbing of check in baggage for passengers travelling on same PNR. PLease note this applies only to check in baggage, and not to cabin baggage.

From seoul to bangalore via bangkok can I carry a 65 inch led tv and what charges would I pay

Admin Reply :

We do not think this would be permitted in free check in since the size of packaging would be too big. You will have to use the cargo services to bring it.

Can I carry a 75inch led television from Bangkok to Bangalore, if there is any additional charge how much should I pay if it is classified as over sized luggage

Admin Reply :

USD 10 per excess kg is the charge towards excess baggage. You are allowed to carry TVs of size which are allowed under the check in baggage policy. If it exceeds 158 cms but not 203 cms, then excess charges have to be paid. But if it exceeds 203 cms then you need to first get confirmation from TG, You can details at http://www.thaiairways.co.in/en/Terms_condition/baggage_policy.page?

There is no general extra allowance for student. However, there is a scheme for those who are travelling to Australia and New Zealand on valid one-way ticket.
