I am flying economy with Delta next week from Narita - Tokyo to Minneapolis-St Paul (MSP). I take two flights: Narita- Seattle Seattle- Minneapolis I know that from Japan I am allowed two bags 50lb each for FREE but I am worried that I will have to pay extra in Seattle. Will I have to recheck bags in Seattle and pay for my second bag?

If it is same airline Delta and it is providing this connection (meaning that you are not booking two tickets separately) , there will be no extra charge to be paid

Dear sir, I have booked for Mumbai to Houston with return (Economy Class) for the month may-17. I was in the impression that 2 bags are allowed free in check in weight up to 23kg each and cabin allowance up to 7 kg. i also read the norms about the baggage allowance which is as per my expectation but in a previous Query you answered differently. Please clarify my doubts.

Admin Reply :

You are right. We admit our mistake. Since your first flight is from India to US, you would be allowed 2 check in bags of 23 kg each (also valid for return leg flight). We promise to be more attentive to queries in future.

Hi, I'm travelling from Narita to Singapore on Delta Comfort. May I know if the check in baggage allowance per person is up to 2 bags totalling 23kg or 2 bags totalling 46kg? Also, the cabin allowance is up to 7kg regardless of the number of bags?

Admin Reply :

It is 2 bags of 23 kg each. If you exceed weight in any one, keeping total under 46 kg, even then excess charges will have to be paid. Cabin allowance is 1 bag of up to  7 kg and 1 personal item.

I will be travelling with my infant 14 months flying from atlanta(usa) to bombay(india). How much luggage will we be entitled to 1 adult? and 1infant? Thanks in advance.

Admin Reply :

Adults are allowed 1 bag of 23 kg free if travelling in economy (also called Main Cabin in Delta Airlines). 2 nd baggage is charged USD 75 for economy class. However, if you are travelling on any of the other three classes (Delta One, First or Business Class), you will be allowed 2 bags of 32 kg each free. 1 cabin baggage for adults of size 56 x 35 x  23 cm is allowed free of cost. No maximum weight limit applies on cabin baggage.

Infants, if not ticketed, are not allowed free allowance. However, you can carry fully collapsible strollers in check in baggage.

I\'m flying from Narita (Tokyo) to Singapore on the !st of Feb. 2016 on Delta Air Lines. Could you please tell me the check in baggage and carry on allowance. Thanks.

Admin Reply :

2 bags of 23 kg are allowed while travelling on Main Cabin class of service. For Delta One, First Class or Business class cabin service, allowance is 2 bags of 32 kg each. Cabin baggage allowance restrictions for your route are not related to weight but only to dimensions of the baggage. There is no upper weight limit but the size of luggage shall be 114 cms as sum of dimensions. There is a cabin bag size checked kept at airports in which you bag would be put to check whether it meets dimensions restrictions or not. The size of this check is 56*35*23 cms.

hello sir/madam, i\'m travelling from INDIA to NEWARK, NJ through Air India international airline and NEWARK, NJ to ATLANTA,GA through Delta airlines visa connected booking. so Air India international allow two baggage(23KG) and one hand bag(8 kg) per person on Economy class. now i have checked baggage allowance for Delta airlines on their website which allow one baggage (23kg) and one habd bag(8kg) per person so should i need to pay extra money for baggage ?

Admin Reply :

You will have to excess baggage since Delta and Air India are neither partner airlines nor belong to same airline allowance. There is nothing to suggest that you will be allowed to take the allowance from Air india to Delta without paying excess baggage rates.
