Hand Baggage: You are allowed to carry one hand luggage in the cabin on-board Air Costa. The maximum weight allowed is 7 kgs and dimensions of the bag are length of 55 cm, width of 35 cm and Height of 25 cm. Apart from this carry-on luggage, you would also be allowed to carry one laptop bag or a ladies hand bag.
Checked In Baggage: The free baggage allowance permitted by Air Costa is dependent on the class of travel of the passenger. Economy and Economy Plus fliers are allowed 15 kgs per adult and child as free allowance. There is a further restriction that the sum of dimensions of luggage shall not be more than 115 cms (L+B+H). For excess baggage, a flat rate of Rs 100 per kg per sector shall be levied for first 5 kg excess and Rs 300 for next excess kgs. This change in policy has been from July 1, 2016.
Case of Golf kit and Ski Kit: It allows carriage of these two items as checked baggage without any cost if the weight of these items falls within the free allowance of weight. However, if baggage weight and golf kit / ski kit weight exceeds free allowance then for the first 15 kgs of excess, chargeable weight will only be 6 kgs for Golf kit and 3 kgs for Ski Kit.
Baggage Policy for International connections: Air Costa follows a liberal policy of baggage allowance for international flight connections.
a) For tickets booked till May 19, 2016
For people arriving from international destinations and taking the Air Costa flight within 24 hours of scheduled flight of latter, or for people boarding an international flight within 24 hours of arrival at a destination served by Air Costa, free baggage permitted is either upto 30 kgs 9where weight concept applies, or what is mentioned on ticket) or 2 pcs of 23 kg each (when coming from or going to destinations where piece concept of baggage applies) and 10 kgs for infants for economy and economy plus class of travel.
b) For tickets booked on or after May 20, 2016
Irrespective of the country of origin/destination of flight, international allowance would be only 30 kgs only. Carrying more would attract Rs 250 per kg excess charges.
This is on condition that they produce international boarding pass in case when they have arrived from a foreign country or an air ticket in case they are departing from India to an international destinaion.
