IndiGo sells tickets on its website and app, through its contact centre (0124-6173838 or 0124-4973838), at airport counters and through agents. This page explains the fare types, the extra charges you may meet and the rules for infants. Prices are in rupees; bookings in other currencies use the equivalent in that currency.

Fare types
- Lite
- The cheapest fare. It includes no checked baggage, and you pay if you want one: INR 2,000 for a 15 kg bag domestically and INR 3,500 internationally. A cabin bag over the limit is charged as extra baggage.
- Saver
- The regular fare, with standard checked baggage and the standard change and cancellation fees.
- Flexi Plus
- A free standard seat, a free meal, lower change and cancellation fees, and a 20% discount on pre-paid excess baggage.
- IndiGo UpFront
- A seat in the first two rows of Economy, a free meal, 5 kg of extra baggage and cheap changes (free when made 72 hours or more ahead).
- IndiGoStretch and Stretch+
- IndiGo's premium cabin, with complimentary Stretch seats, priority check-in, online check-in two days ahead, and space for three babies.
- Family Fare
- For 4 to 9 travellers on domestic routes, with up to a tenth off the fuel surcharge and basic fare. After choosing it you can move to a different fare only by paying the change fee and any fare gap.
- Return Fare
- A round trip booked together. You can change or cancel it, and cancel one half.
- Group Fare
- For parties of ten or more, domestic or abroad. Write to grouprequest@goindigo.in.

- Seat Select is an optional service. You can instead take any free seat or be given one at airport check-in.
- Pre-paid excess baggage is cheaper than paying at the airport. Prices are on the IndiGo baggage pages and in the Baggage Allowance section of this site.
Babies and infants
- An infant is over 3 days old and under 2 years as of the travel date, return leg included if on the same booking. Bring proof of age, which can be a digital copy; without it the child is charged the full fare, subject to seats.
- Each adult may take only one infant. Infants sit on a lap and cannot have a seat of their own. Hand baggage up to 7 kg is allowed and no checked bag.
- The number of infants per flight is limited by oxygen masks and life vests: on routes over land, 19 on an A320 or A321 and 17 on an ATR; over water, 12 and 6.
- The infant fee applies to every flight and is higher if you book it by phone (10% more). International fees from India, in rupees:

Changes and booking tools
- Manage Booking lets you retrieve and email your itinerary, add services such as meals, seats and pre-paid baggage, split a booking, reschedule, cancel and update contact details.
- You can pay by card, UPI, net banking, wallet or voucher. Credit shell refunds are only for bookings made on IndiGo's own channels.
- A cancelled ticket cannot be used again, and names cannot be changed. Cancel and rebook.
- Provide a working phone number and email address when booking, because IndiGo sends flight changes there.

Does IndiGo have business class?
It sells IndiGoStretch, a premium cabin on selected flights, besides Economy.
Is a checked bag included in the cheapest fare?
No. The Lite fare has no checked baggage; add one for INR 2,000 (domestic) or INR 3,500 (international).
Can a family get a discount?
On domestic routes, yes: a Family Fare for 4 to 9 people takes up to a tenth off the fuel surcharge and basic fare.
Can I book a ticket for a baby?
Babies travel as infants on a lap for a fee. They have no seat of their own.
