About Us

Baggage Allowance is an independent guide to airline rules for baggage, check-in, special assistance, frequent flyer programmes and refunds. It also lists the world's airports and publishes news and answers about air travel in its blog.

Where the information comes from

Each airline page is written from the airline's own published rules, fare tables and help pages, and from regulators and airport operators where they set the rule. We write the text ourselves and do not copy it. Where an airline does not publish a detail, or its page could not be read, the page says so and does not guess.

Airlines change their rules often. Every page shows the date it was last updated. Always confirm the rule that applies to your ticket with your airline before you travel.

Independence

We are not an airline, a travel agent or a booking company, and we are not affiliated with any airline named on this site. Airline names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify the airline.
