Qatar Airways has belonged to the oneworld alliance since 2013. It also has codeshare and interline partners outside the alliance. These links put hundreds of extra cities within reach of its Doha hub, often on one ticket with checked baggage sent through.
oneworld
- oneworld links airlines serving more than 900 destinations. Members earn and spend frequent flyer points across all of them, and top-tier customers can use more than 600 business lounges.
- Privilege Club tiers match oneworld levels: Silver is Ruby, Gold is Sapphire and Platinum is Emerald.
- Members include Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Fiji Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian and SriLankan Airlines.

What to expect on a partner flight
- Baggage allowance follows the ticket and the airline that flies you. Check the allowance on your booking.
- Rules for special help, such as wheelchairs, pregnancy and children travelling alone, also depend on the operating airline; Qatar Airways links to the partners' pages (American Airlines, British Airways, Iberia and Royal Air Maroc).
- Online check-in is possible when Qatar Airways operates the first leg of the trip.
- Privilege Club members earn Avios and Qpoints with oneworld and partner airlines.

You will have to check this with the Alitalia local office since it depends on some factors which they will be able to tell better.
No, there is no alliance between these two carriers. Indigo will by its own baggage allowance rules and will charge you for excess baggage being carried as per international allowance. Only Goair and Air Costa allow international baggage on domestic flight provided it is taken within 24 hours.
