IndiGo's charges for cancelling a ticket or changing the itinerary depend on three things: whether the flight is domestic or international, which fare you bought, and how many hours remain before departure. The airline has changed this structure since an older version of this article, which quoted a single fee of 3,000 rupees for domestic cancellations. Flexi Plus and UpFront fares are cheaper to change or cancel, and UpFront has no change fee at all. The Lite fare has the same fees as Saver.
Rules that apply to every booking
- Cancel online or in the app. A cancellation made through the call centre adds up to 500 per passenger for each sector.
- A booking made directly on IndiGo's website can be amended or cancelled free of fees within 48 hours, unless the flight leaves within 7 days (domestic) or 15 days (international) of booking. Fare differences are still charged.
- If IndiGo cancels or reschedules your flight by enough to qualify, Plan B gives you a free rebooking or a full refund.
- International changes and cancellations are accepted until 4 hours before departure.
