IndiGo prices changes and cancellations by fare type and by how close you are to departure. The amounts below are for domestic flights booked in rupees and come from IndiGo's fees and charges page. If you pay in another currency, the airline converts the fee using a dollar rate that it also lists on that page.
Fees by fare type
Charges in rupees for each passenger on each sector. A cancellation never costs more than the ticket is worth: IndiGo applies the lower of the fixed fee or the base fare plus fuel surcharge.

Within three hours of departure the ticket is treated as a no-show. A fare difference is charged on top of any change fee when you move to a flight that costs more.
Free change or cancellation in the first 48 hours
IndiGo's "look-in" option lets you cancel or amend a booking without a fee for 48 hours after you buy it, as long as you booked on IndiGo's own website. Two limits apply: it is not available if the flight leaves within 7 days of booking on a domestic route, and you still pay any fare difference.
Extra cost at the call centre
If you ask the call centre to cancel for you, IndiGo adds a charge of up to 500 per passenger for each sector. Doing it online or in the app avoids it.
When IndiGo cancels or reschedules your flight
None of these fees apply. IndiGo's Plan B lets you pick another flight or take a full refund at no cost if the airline cancels, brings the departure forward by an hour or more, or delays it by two hours or more. Once you have used Plan B, further changes follow the normal fees.
Ways to lower the bill
- Choose Flexi Plus or UpFront if you expect your plans to move; their fees are far lower.
- Add IndiGo Switch at booking if you only need one date change. It waives the change fee when you make the change more than 72 hours ahead.
- Consider Zero Cancellation insurance (from 749) for domestic trips, which repays the airline's cancellation fee up to 5,000.
