A codeshare flight is sold by IndiGo (flight numbers starting 6E) but flown by a partner airline. The earlier version of this article listed cancellation and change fees for each European city on these flights. IndiGo's fees and charges page no longer carries a separate cancellation table for codeshare tickets. What it does publish for codeshare is the baggage rules and prices, so this update covers those. For changes and cancellations, use the fare rules shown on your booking and IndiGo's help channels, and compare with the fee tables in our posts on domestic and international fees only as a guide.
Checked baggage on US routes (IndiGo-marketed, Turkish Airlines-operated)
- Economy passengers on the New York, Boston, Chicago and Washington routes get two free checked pieces, each up to 23 kg.
- A piece heavier than 23 kg and up to 32 kg costs USD 80 extra.
- A third piece (an additional piece) costs USD 250.
- IndiGo does not accept any single piece above 32 kg. To carry a heavy bag you pay both the additional piece and overweight charges.
Other codeshare routes
The checked allowance for your journey is shown at the time of booking. When your trip starts in India and is not a US codeshare sector, extra weight at the airport is charged per kilogram at IndiGo's standard rates. A few examples from IndiGo's table, in rupees per kilogram:

Adding baggage on a codeshare ticket
On these tickets excess or additional baggage can only be added at the check-in counter. The online pre-booking options that IndiGo offers on its own flights do not apply.
