Wheelchairs and reduced mobility
- Request assistance when you book, or pre-book on the website up to 48 hours before departure. From then until 12 hours before, contact the Assistance team. Without 48 hours' notice the help may not be available.
- Present yourself at the airport assistance desk 2 hours before departure.
- Choose the code that fits: WCHR (help through the airport to the gate), WCHS (also up and down aircraft steps), WCHC (also lifted on and off the aircraft seat), BLND, BDGR, BLDP, DPNA (cognitive or non-visible disability), DEAF, SVAN (guide dog, no help needed) and OXYG (in-flight oxygen, to be pre-booked and paid at least 7 days ahead).
- Passengers must be self-reliant: able to fasten their seatbelt, fit a lifejacket and an oxygen mask, and understand the safety briefing. Otherwise a non-disabled companion aged 18 or over, buying an adult fare, must travel with them; one companion can assist only one reduced mobility passenger. Passengers also need a personal assistant if they cannot feed themselves, use the toilet or take their medicine unaided.
- You may bring two pieces of mobility equipment and needed medical equipment free; only two electric wheelchairs or scooters are accepted per flight, so add them when booking.
- Every aircraft has an aisle wheelchair for the toilet, but crew cannot lift you between seat and chair. Assisted passengers get a suitable seat with one companion free, usually by a window, never in an emergency exit row. There is no pre-boarding; Priority Boarding can be bought.
Pregnancy
- You may fly up to 28 weeks without paperwork. From week 28 a fit-to-fly letter from a doctor or midwife is required. A single pregnancy cannot travel beyond the end of week 36, and twins or triplets beyond week 32.
Children travelling alone
- Ryanair does not carry unaccompanied children under 16 and provides no escort or special facilities. Minors under 16 must be on the same booking as an adult of 18 or over; to add a minor later, make a separate booking in the minor's name and link it to the adult's booking, which then can only be changed through customer service.
