What to do
- Tell the baggage desk at your arrival airport at once about a missing or damaged bag; you are given a PIR (Property Irregularity Report) number for tracking.
- Unable to report at the airport? Send a request through the Contact us form within a week of arriving, choosing the baggage subject.
- Late bag: if it has not turned up three days on, add its contents to your delayed bag report; past five days, fill in the inventory and claim form. A local agent delivers it after customs, or you collect it at the airport.
- Damaged bag: within a week of getting it back, upload your boarding pass, a branded photo of the damage, the repair receipt and any excess-baggage receipts, plus a repairer's letter if it cannot be mended.
Not covered
- Valuables, fragile or perishable items in checked baggage, minor damage such as stains, scratches and dents from normal wear, and water damage to bags that are not waterproof.
