- Recent examples: Ethiopian Airlines links Addis Ababa to 55 destinations in 33 countries, SKY express adds 24 Greek island destinations, Hong Kong Airlines flights (bookable as Etihad from Abu Dhabi) reach Japanese cities including Fukuoka, Sapporo, Osaka and Okinawa, and the Vietnam Airlines codeshare adds Athens, Addis Ababa, Bahrain, Muscat, Cairo and Istanbul beyond Abu Dhabi.

- Members can earn miles with more than 20 airlines and spend them on flights with more than 25 airline partners. Air France, American Airlines, KLM, Malaysia Airlines and Vietnam Airlines are among those named on Etihad's pages, besides many of the codeshare partners above.
- Bonus miles are available on Etihad, Virgin Australia, Saudia, Gulf Air and Air Serbia flights when members add their number to eligible bookings.
- Etihad describes its programme as one of the biggest non-alliance schemes for airline partners.
