Emirates Skywards is the loyalty programme of Emirates and flydubai. Members collect two kinds of points: Skywards Miles, which you spend, and Tier Miles, which decide your membership level. Anyone aged 2 or over can join; companies cannot.

- Status lasts 12 months from the day you qualify. At each review you keep the tier by earning the same Tier Miles again; otherwise you drop down.
- Promotion is automatic: after each earning, Emirates reviews your Tier Miles over the last 12 months.
- Higher tiers do not earn more Tier Miles. Only the cabin and fare change it: Business, First, Flex and Flex Plus earn more. Subscribers to Skywards+ Premium earn 20% extra Tier Miles while subscribed.
- On flydubai flights members receive up to 100% bonus Miles, up to 20 kg of extra baggage and quicker bag delivery, according to tier.
- Tier Miles come mainly from Emirates, flydubai and Emirates-marketed codeshare flights, and in the USA from selected Skywards co-brand cards.
Earning Miles
- On every Emirates, flydubai and partner-airline flight. The total follows your route, fare and cabin, and no fare earns nothing. The Miles Calculator gives an estimate in advance.
- Miles arrive after you have flown each direction of the trip. Name the programme at booking or check-in; once you have checked in for the first flight it is fixed.
- Partners cover hotels, car rental, shopping, dining and banking, including Skywards credit cards from banks such as HSBC, Emirates NBD, ICICI Bank and Barclays. Marriott Bonvoy earns Skywards Miles on stays.
- You can also buy Miles, multiply a balance up to four times, or pool Miles with relatives in a family account.
Spending Miles
- Reward flights with Emirates, flydubai or partner carriers; upgrades; hotel stays; events and experiences; and Cash+Miles, which cuts what you pay in cash.
- Skywards Miles stay valid for three years. Platinum members' Miles do not expire while they keep Platinum.
- You cannot buy, give away or transfer Tier Miles.

How many Tier Miles do I need for Silver?
25,000, earned within 12 months. Gold needs 50,000, and Platinum 150,000 with one First or Business flight.
Do Skywards Miles expire?
After three years, except for Platinum members while they hold the tier.
Can I earn on flydubai?
Yes. Both Miles types are earned on flydubai, and tier benefits apply.
