This article used to link to a copy of IndiGo's wheelchair form hosted on a third-party site. IndiGo now handles the request online, so the old form is no longer needed and we have removed it.
When to ask
IndiGo asks passengers who need a wheelchair to book it at least 48 hours before departure. An earlier request gives the airline and the airport time to arrange help.
How the online request works
- On IndiGo's special and disability assistance page, choose the option for wheelchair assistance and add the details of the passenger who needs help.
- Select the flight sector or sectors and the reason for the request.
- Fill in the remaining details, confirm that you agree to the conditions and submit.
Other special assistance
The same page also covers help for unaccompanied minors, infants and expecting mothers. Each has its own rules and, where charged, its own fee. Our article on IndiGo infant and unaccompanied minor fees lists the current amounts.
Tips
- Make the request when you book, then check it again in Manage booking a few days before the flight.
- Tell the airline if you bring your own battery-powered chair or mobility aid, because rules on batteries apply.
- Arrive early at the airport so that staff have time to meet you at the assistance point.
