- Extra baggage does not apply on piece-concept routes the same way; check the airline's footnotes. Classic members get up to 1.5 times, and higher tiers up to 1.75 times, Miles and Status Miles on international Business flights.
- Keeping a status in the first or second period needs, for example, 17,000 Status Miles or 30 flights for Classic Plus, or more for Elite and Elite Plus; the airline lists the figures.
- Bonus miles do not count towards a tier.
- Star Alliance Gold members may carry extra hand baggage as set by the airline.
