Wheelchairs and disability help
- Add a wheelchair or other Special Service through the website (Manage Travel, then Special Services for each passenger), the app (My Trips) or the Accessibility Request Form.
- At the airport, tell a skycap at the curb or a representative at the ticket counter; a wheelchair is provided. You can also ask for help to and from the gate and with boarding and exiting.
- Wheelchairs (manual or electric, folding or not), scooters, walkers, canes and crutches travel free. The cabin has space for two wheelchairs, each no larger than 40 x 13 x 50 inches and 70 lb; others go in the cargo hold. Non-collapsible and battery-powered devices can be checked at the counter or gate; batteries may have to be removed and packed separately. Attach identification to a device you check.
- A safety assistant is required if a passenger cannot understand safety instructions because of a mental disability, cannot assist in their own evacuation because of a severe mobility impairment, or has severe hearing and vision impairments and cannot communicate with crew. A personal care assistant may also travel to help with feeding, the lavatory or medical care.
Pregnancy
- Pregnant passengers are allowed to travel. Speak to your doctor before flying in the ninth month. Pregnant passengers accept the risks of air travel, which can include complications or early labour.
Children travelling alone
- Frontier no longer accepts children aged 14 or younger travelling alone. They must be on the same reservation as an accompanying adult.
