Wheelchairs and disability help
- Ask via Accessible Services in My Trips, through the app, or on the 24-hour line, 404-209-3434 (711 for relay). The best time is when you book; tell Delta your mobility needs two days or more ahead.
- Three wheelchair services: an airport chair from the kerb, through check-in and security, to the aircraft door; an aisle wheelchair from the jet bridge to your seat; and an on-board wheelchair that fits the aisle and most toilets. Electric power scooters for personal use are not supplied.
- Delta carries manual and battery-powered personal wheelchairs and scooters, and assistive devices such as canes, walkers and crutches. It asks for the height and width at the smallest size, the device details, and 48 hours notice for battery devices, plus a printed Mobility Device Handling Form attached to the device.
- A manually collapsible, non-battery wheelchair may be stored in the cabin if space allows; ask the gate agent.
- At the airport, a Complaint Resolution Official can solve disability-related problems.
Pregnancy
- Delta imposes no flying restriction for pregnancy and requires no medical certificate.
- If you fly after the eighth month, it advises checking with your doctor. Change fees and penalties are not waived for pregnancy.

- Book by calling Reservations (800-325-8847), not online, and give a 4-digit PIN for later changes. Partner flights with Air France, KLM or Aeromexico can be booked; if a partner flies the first leg, its fees apply.
- An adult with a physical photo ID (not digital) and the pickup person's name, address and phone must take the child to the gate and wait until take-off. The person collecting needs photo ID and a gate pass, which they get after arriving two hours before landing.
- Delta recommends rear seats close to a flight attendant.
