Wheelchairs and disability help
- Once requested, staff can help from the check-in counter to the departure gate.
- Guests who are hearing or vision impaired, travel with a service dog or need an extra seat must check in at the airport (hearing and vision impaired may use online check-in on domestic flights in Australia, New Zealand and Japan).
- For blind or vision-impaired passengers, an escort from check-in through security to the gate can be requested; it is subject to availability and not guaranteed.
Pregnancy
- Within the first 28 weeks of an uncomplicated pregnancy, no medical document is needed. From 28 weeks, a certificate or letter from a registered doctor or midwife is mandatory.
- With complications or more than one baby, medical clearance is needed.
Children travelling alone
- Jetstar does not offer an unaccompanied minor service. Passengers aged 12 and over may travel alone if they meet the Independent Traveller Requirements, which include showing proof of enrolment in secondary school at check-in.
- Travel alone under 12 is handled case by case through Jetstar. On Jetstar Japan international flights, under-12s need an accompanying passenger aged 15 or over.
- Infants under 2 must travel with a parent, guardian or companion aged at least 15.
