Etihad sells each cabin in a small set of fare families. The older version of this article listed booking classes and fare basis codes (Breaking Deals, Saver, Value, Freedom and GuestSeat). Etihad now presents simple named fares, so this update follows the current names. What a fare includes depends on the date the ticket was issued, and the airline shows both versions on its page.

For tickets issued before that date the layout is similar, with an extra-legroom seat as the Deluxe benefit and 15% miles on Basic.

On the Basic fare, Etihad Guest members do not get their free checked allowance. Extra baggage can be added in Manage your booking at a discount of up to 65% compared with the airport.
Business fares
Business has three fares with the same names: Value, Comfort and Deluxe. For tickets issued from 4 March 2025, the cabin allowance is up to 12 kg in two pieces and the checked allowance is 35, 40 and 50 kg for most routes (two bags of 32 kg to or from the USA and Canada). Changes are free on Deluxe and carry a fee on the other two. Cancellation is free on Deluxe, carries a fee on Comfort and is not allowed on Value. Lounge access is included on Comfort and Deluxe. These figures come from the business section of Etihad's fares page and vary with the ticket date, so read the version that matches your ticket there. Etihad also sells First fares, which we have not listed here.
How to choose
- Pick Basic only if you travel with hand baggage alone and will not need to change anything.
- Value suits a single trip with a bag where you expect no changes.
- Comfort adds a free standard seat, a larger bag and a fee-based cancellation.
- Deluxe suits travellers who need flexibility, extra legroom or priority access.
Etihad also sells promotional fares with extra limits, for example no change in the last 72 hours and a charge of AED 600 or AED 200 to change earlier. Check the conditions shown at booking.
