An earlier version of this article quoted per-animal prices. SWISS's own pages now point to a separate fee page for pets and do not show amounts in the places we could read, so we have removed the prices. This update keeps the rules that SWISS states.
Dogs and cats in the cabin
- You can bring a dog or cat in the cabin on a SWISS flight.
- SWISS checks availability and makes the pet booking for you. It must be done no later than 72 hours before departure.
- If the pet cannot be booked, SWISS informs you by email.
- When the booking works, you pay the pet fees at the airport when you check in.
Larger animals
A dog or cat that weighs more than 8 kg including its transport container may travel in the air-conditioned part of the hold, under certain conditions, as excess baggage.
Other rules
- A child under 12 who travels alone with the unaccompanied minor service may not take a pet in the cabin.
