Cabin baggage

• One hand bag up to 7 kg, including your laptop. Additional hand baggage is not allowed.
• Maximum size: length 38 cm, breadth 15 cm, height 40 cm.
• Cabin bags go on board only if there is room in the overhead locker or beneath your seat. A bag that is too big or too heavy can be sent to the hold before departure; it gets a tag and comes out on the belt, and you pay the going per-kg excess rate if it is above the weight limit.
• When a cabin bag is weighed at the boarding gate and found too heavy, the excess cabin-bag rate from the airline's terms is charged.
• Liquids: containers of 100 ml or less, all fitting in one transparent, re-sealable 1-litre bag.

• The 20 kg allowance does not apply on some sectors.
• Maximum size of a checked bag: length 55 cm, breadth 35 cm, height 40 cm.
• Fare supplements: Economy Flexi is the base fare + ₹750, Economy Comfort base fare + ₹1,750, Business Flexi base fare + ₹2,000. Comfort and Business fares include meals, beverages and seat selection and priority check-in and baggage; on Regular and Flexi fares these are chargeable.

Pre-purchase is possible up to 2 hours before departure. Charges can change at any time. You can book excess baggage when you book your ticket or through any Star Air booking channel.

Other baggage rules

• Valuables and fragile items: Star Air advises you not to check in money, jewellery, electronics, medicines, cameras, documents or similar valuables. If you do, you carry the risk.
• Refused items: Star Air may refuse items under the DGCA norms; see its Conditions of Carriage.
• Damaged baggage: report it at the baggage tracing desk at the airport before you leave the arrival hall.

How much baggage do I get?

One 7 kg hand bag (including a laptop) and 15 kg of checked baggage on Economy Regular, or 20 kg on Economy Comfort and on Business fares.

What does extra baggage cost?

₹550 per kg pre-booked online, ₹600 per kg at the airport.

Can I carry two hand bags?

No. Additional hand baggage is not allowed; one bag up to 7 kg, including your laptop.
