Cabin baggage
In addition to your free checked baggage, each guest may carry one piece of hand baggage free of charge. It must fit in a closed overhead rack or under the seat in front and carry a cabin baggage label.

- Departing the USA or Canada for Saudi Arabia: only one carry-on item is allowed in all classes, up to 16 lb in weight and 45 in in size.
- Free personal item: one extra item such as a coat, tablet, women's handbag, stroller or baby cradle, or essential items for guests with disabilities.
- Power banks: up to two rechargeable batteries per passenger, in the cabin only, never in checked baggage. They must not be recharged on board or used to charge other devices.
- Flights to or from the USA or UK: all carry-on baggage is screened, including electronic devices. You may be asked to switch devices on; a device that cannot be powered on is not allowed on board. Charge your devices before you travel. Saudia has no lockers for devices and is not responsible for loss.
- Connecting on Saudia: free carry-on baggage may not be accepted at a connecting station if the aircraft type or overhead space is limited. Saudia decides whether an item goes in the cabin or the hold.

These figures were read from the live booking results for one adult leaving Jeddah (JED) on 2 November 2026, on the routes below. Allowances can differ by departure country and route, so the allowance shown for your fare when you book is the one that counts.

- Checked baggage on Saudia flights from Riyadh to New York (JFK), Washington D.C. (IAD), Los Angeles (LAX) and Toronto (YYZ) must be sealed with safe wrap before it is accepted.
Passengers with kidney failure
Patients with renal failure travelling on domestic and international flights from Saudi Arabia may check in 8 pieces of up to 32 kg each in every class, free of charge. They must show the special card from the Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation, or an approved medical report. This extra baggage is not granted on codeshare flights, SPA agreement and negotiated fares, promotional fares, or when combining with other airlines. Pack solutions in leak-proof bags or containers that are easy to handle.

Special baggage
Wheelchairs and crutches
Carried free. They are normally checked into the hold, handed over before boarding and returned on arrival.
Mobility equipment
Up to two pieces per guest with a disability or reduced mobility (including electric wheelchairs), in addition to the free checked allowance.
Dialysis device
One portable device free of charge, checked into the hold.
Guide dogs
May accompany blind or deaf guests in the hold, in a suitable kennel or cage. They are not allowed in the cabin on Saudia flights.
Infant strollers
Checked in free of charge and carried in the hold.
Sports equipment and musical instruments
Accepted as checked baggage if properly packed in protective bags or cases and the airport can handle them. Their weight counts towards your free allowance; if the weight or size goes over, excess charges apply.
Portable oxygen concentrators
An approved model may be used in the cabin. Send the physician's statement to meda@saudia.com at least 48 hours before departure and check in at least 3 hours before the flight with the device, batteries and original medical report. Carry batteries for the flight time plus 150% extra, at most two spare batteries, in hand baggage.

How much cabin baggage can I take?
Guest class: one hand bag or briefcase up to 7 kg (56 x 45 x 25 cm). First and Business: one hand bag up to 12 kg plus a briefcase up to 9 kg.
How much checked baggage do I get?
It depends on your fare. For example, Guest Basic is 1 bag of 23 kg on most routes, Guest Flex is 2 bags of 23 kg, and Business is 2 bags of 32 kg. Guest Saver on international flights has none. AlFursan members get an extra piece (23 kg in Guest class, 32 kg in Business and First on international flights).
Can I carry a power bank?
Yes, up to two, in your cabin bag only. You may not recharge them on board.
Can I save money on extra baggage?
Buy it online or in the app for up to 30% off, on routes where it is offered.
Can I carry sports equipment?
Yes, as checked baggage in a protective case. Its weight counts towards your allowance, and extra charges apply above 158 cm.

I am travelling from DMM - JED - BOM. Is it permissible to carry 8 litres of olive oil in check in baggage?
You have not mentioned the route of flight. You will be allowed to check in but there will be charges for carrying the third bag.

Yes, it can be taken within permitted size and weight limits of check in baggage.
Each bag shall have L+B+H less than 158 cm. You can take all of these items in check in baggage in well packed condition.
How about a manual mini food chopper witb blades secured inside the chopper can I bring it and place it in check in luggage?
1 bottle of not more than 100ml and, together, these shall not be more than the capacity of quart-size resealable transparent bag, which is normally of 1 litre capacity. You can taken chopper with secure packing in check in baggage.
Also, aside from the 2pcs 23kg checkin luggages and 1 carry-on 7kg luggage, can i bring another checkin luggage 23kg or less and I will just pay for this extra luggage? How much will it cost me for the 3rd checkin luggage if I pay online?or at the airport?
Extra bag will cost USD 200 when pre-purchased online and it will cost USD 250 when bought at airport, for your route of travel. Duffel bag might also be considered an additional bag, so please check with the airline as well.
It shall be Guest Basic, Semi Flex or Flex. Check in baggage allowance is 1 pc of 23 kg for Basic, and 2 bags of 23 kgs for semi flex and flex.

Yes, for check in bag, the dimensions shall not be more than 158 cm in linear dimensions, that is sum of length, breadth and height added once.
No, you can not combine these.
Since baggage allowances are based on piece system, if you take one extra piece, you will be charged for it. We suggest that you keep this at 2 bags of 32 kg each.
