Last updated: 29 October 2026. AirAsia Philippines is one of AirAsia's separate airlines; rules shared by all AirAsia airlines are on this page and the fee tables are for AirAsia Philippines only.
Fees are in the currency shown in each table.
Cabin baggage
- Two pieces, 7 kg combined: one cabin bag and one small personal item, with the total weight of both not more than 7 kg.
- Cabin bag: up to 56 x 36 x 23 cm including handles, wheels and side pockets, and it must fit in the overhead compartment.
- Small bag: a laptop bag, handbag, backpack or similar, up to 40 x 30 x 10 cm, and it must fit under the seat in front of you.
- Items strapped, wrapped or tied together do not count as one piece. Umbrellas with a pointed tip are not allowed; others up to 56 cm (22 in) long are allowed subject to airport approval.
- Xtra Carry-On: raises your cabin allowance to 14 kg. It must be pre-booked on the AirAsia MOVE website or app up to 2 hours before departure. Since 13 April 2026 it cannot be bought at airport counters. At the airport counter you can only add cabin weight of up to 3 kg (10 kg in total).
- Infants under 2 get no cabin baggage allowance. Children from 2 years have the same allowance as adults. Pocket or foldable strollers are allowed as cabin baggage within the allowance.
- Items bought at the airport count towards your cabin allowance. Only duty-free goods in a sealed security tamper-evident bag with proof of purchase, within the allowance of your destination country, are exempt.
- Smart baggage: allowed if non-removable batteries are no more than 0.3 g lithium metal or 2.7 Wh lithium-ion; removable batteries are taken out and carried in the cabin; WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS are off; at most 2 spare batteries in the cabin. Rideable luggage may not be used on aprons or restricted airport areas in Malaysia.
Checked baggage
- Value Pack or Premium Flex
- 20 kg
- Premium Flatbed (not via a Zone Up upgrade)
- 40 kg
- Flights between Dhaka and Kuala Lumpur
- 30 kg
- Indonesia domestic flights (AirAsia Indonesia, QZ)
- 15 kg
- All other fares
- None: buy a checked baggage allowance
- The complimentary allowance is added automatically; you cannot remove it. It does not carry onto a connecting (fly-thru) flight in these cases: domestic sectors on Premium Flatbed, Dhaka to Kuala Lumpur, and international sectors on Indonesia domestic bookings.
- Allowances you can buy: from 20 kg up to 60 kg per way (the range varies by route; 50 kg and 60 kg have limited units, and some weights are for domestic flights only).
- Each bag: no more than 32 kg and 119 cm (height) x 81 cm (width) x 119 cm (length). You can check in as many bags as you like within your total allowance. If you buy more than 30 kg, each bag must meet those size limits.
- One checked baggage allowance can be bought per booking per flight, and you can choose different weights for outbound and return flights.
- Sharing: allowances can be pooled between passengers on the same booking who drop their bags together.
- Free as checked baggage: baby strollers, buggies and prams, wheelchairs and mobility devices, crutches and walking frames, while they are being used by an infant, child, elderly or disabled traveller. Battery wheelchairs have extra rules. Otherwise a checked allowance must be bought.
- Checked baggage and sports equipment cannot be combined: buy a sports equipment allowance for sports items.
