Between 12 August 2015 and 7 February 2016, Air India raised the economy checked baggage allowance on domestic flights from 15 kg to 25 kg for a limited period. That offer ended long ago and no longer applies. This article now shows the allowances the airline publishes today.

These figures apply to Air India's own aircraft. They exclude Air India Express and codeshare services. If your ticket has both a domestic and an international flight, the international allowance applies to the whole journey. Passengers on separate tickets get the allowance of each ticket.
Cabin baggage
- You may carry one cabin bag, up to 7 kg in economy and premium economy and up to 10 kg in business and first (the three sides must add up to no more than 115 cm), and one personal item of up to 3 kg, small enough for the space under the seat ahead, for example a handbag, laptop bag or coat.
- A cabin bag up to 12 kg is accepted only if you pay for the weight above your free allowance. The airline lists INR 3,000 on domestic flights and USD 75 on international flights.
- Anything heavier than 12 kg must be checked in and charged as excess baggage.
- Passengers with an infant may carry personal and infant items of up to 5 kg in total, such as food for the flight and feeding bottles.

Can you pl. tell us how much is the allowable Cabin or Hand (Carry on) Baggage Allowance & Check In Baggage Allowance for in both flights (AI &TK)
I am travelling from Dubai and have 30 kg allowance, then I clear customs and check in for air india flight to Goa, what is my luggage allowance with Air India is it 30 kg as I have just travelled international and it will be within 6 hours of landing? This is in January 2016.
