- You qualify with Loyalty Points earned in the 12 months starting on 1 March. Status then runs from the day you reach it to 31 March of the next full year.
- Basic Economy tickets bought from 18 May 2026 onward do not receive some benefits, free bags and Main Cabin Extra among them.
- Gold members check in at the Business desk, or First if none. Status benefits are also recognised on oneworld partner airlines and with Alaska Airlines.
- Upgrades work on flights that American markets and operates within the USA and to Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Bermuda and Central America, subject to availability.
