Passengers can check-in on the SWISS Airlines in different ways. These are the following:
Airports around the world, wherever SWISS flies, have at least one SWISS check-in counter.
SWISS Business, SWISS First, Miles&More Status members and Star Alliance Gold members have separate check-in desks for their priority check in.
You can operate the kiosk machine kept at the airport for checking in. You need to have passport number, ticket number or the “Miles&More” card to log in to your account. Thereafter, you have to select your preferred seat. Then you can do check-in of 8 people maximum. You are also required to print your boarding pass and baggage tags.
Online check in opens 23 hours and remains open up to 1 hour before scheduled departure time of flight.
SWISS Air Mobile Check-in also happens the same way as online check-in except that it is done through mobile device.
The eboarding pass can be had in the email, as a SMS link or in the SWISS mobile app. This is valid at some airports but might not be valid for certain other airports of the world. You need to check whether eboarding pass is valid document for a particular airport or not.
This check-in facility is provided to passengers who are travelling only with their cabin baggage and have booked tickets from swiss.com. Automated check-in option can also be used after booking ticket by visiting the Manage Booking section of website at least 24 hours before scheduled departure time of flight.
Please note that availability of automated check-in would depend on whether it is offered for the destination you are flying or not. For automated check-in option to be used, the boarding pass or notification shall be received at least 20 hours before scheduled departure time of flight.
Self check-in is nothing but the ability to check-in on your own using the online or mobile medium. This option can be used from many airports around the world.
